  • I check 2 or 3 times a week, don't run a spreadsheet for it though.

update my nice secure password protected spreadsheet

If your spreadsheet is excel it isn't that secure, if security is important for it I would suggest using file encryption.

  • I do too!!! Online banking is my most favoritest invention ever!

For a giggle......I know a woman who uses phone banking - i've sat there with her in the car before she goes shopping whilst she pays ££££'s on the phone for 5 minutes trying to find out her balance, and what has gone out recently!! lols! I have suggested she gets online (as she has an iPhone so could do it easily) clearly has money to spare!! ;)

It doesn't have any passwords, account numbers or anything sensitive on it.... mainly to keep out the casual/nosey intruder :)
  • I check mine every day, sometimes twice a day! Its a good job I do, I just noticed a standing order for my old loan (paid off on 14th December) had been taken out of my account for £383.00 today!!!!!! A quick phone call and its all sorted, but just think if I hadn't checked....... I love online banking, its the best thing ever, but I sometimes feel I might be becoming a bit anal about my finances......... :-)

Check it almost every day and hate weekends as that is when it isn't updated but that is when I do most of my spending! Sometimes it takes ages to come out! I have paper though, I know it's sad but I used to use Microsoft Money and they wanted £40 for the new version so I bought a triple ledger from WH for £3!

  • I check my DD account each morning before I go to work (most payments have already come out) and update my spreadsheet.

My debit card is my spending card and only transfer what I need for the week to it... once it's gone, it's gone but I still check it every day to make sure any card payments/online payments I made the previous day shows!

Had a little panic attack this morning as one of my debt repayments is due on the 3rd of each month and I remember that while I was doing the faster payment, the banking site froze just after I'd made the payment.... and I couldn't find it anywhere on my statement, even though I'd already checked it weeks ago! I was looking in the wrong account!
