I do the same.
Check everyday and update spreadsheet.
Its not sad, its good to get into the habit and then if anything happens that shouldnt, youll be on the ball :T0 -
Once a month - i check all entries against my spreadsheet - but I do keep a very tight eye on what is being spent via a spreadsheet. I only check the bank to make sure nothing ontoward has happened .
I do this mainly because some transactions take so long to appear and the balance of my bank account isnt necessarily up to date - my last Asda shop took a week to appear.0 -
I check ours every day, sometimes many times in 1 day (usually when I have made a transaction, to make sure everything tallies up).0

Every morning and then most afternoons. Update spreadsheet once a week!Year 2019 (1,700/£17000mortgage repayment)Overall mortgage (71,400/165568) (44
.1%) (42/100) payments made. Total paid 2019 year £1,700
Total paid 2017 year £15,300Total paid 2018 year £13,6000 -
I check mine everyday too. More to keep an eye on it and make sure payments aren't going out that shouldn't be. Find it much easier having 3 accounts, one for income, one for direct debits and the other to spend through the month. Only have a card for the spend account so cant dib into funds I shouldn't.0
