Any Help for people on Employment and Support Alllowance?

My friend is currently receiving employment and Support allowance as she is not well enough to work. She is 57 and Lives in a 3 bed semi in Wales with two of her non-dependant children. She has a mortgage on the property (obviously some of it is paid for by benefits) but because she is not working cannot remortgage. The only downside is, she has no double glazing, and no central heating. She only has one electric fire in the house, otherwise it's a portable heater to keep warm.

I know in Wales there are grants available to certain people, on certain benefits, or if you are over 60, but she doesn't currently fall into any of these categories. So I was wondering, if there are any other grants or somewhere that helps out people on ESA so she can get Central heating installed.

Does her electric supplier do a 'social tariff' for people on benefits?

maybe the winter warm front will help her if she also gets council tax benefit? But i do know that they are going to suspend applications as i got accessed last week and the advisor mentioned it.

When i had no heating, i put a post on freecycle and managed to get 3 calor gas fires to tie me over. I hope your friend gets sorted out as it is bloody cold.
