  • I bought a summery skirt today for holiday next week - was only £1 from Sally Army.

Then undid that good by spending a shocking amount on baking products! We were given a breadmaker as a wedding present and Mr Pincher has been away for a few days and as he keeps saying he wants some homemade bread I thought it would be nice to welcome him home with some freshly made!

I spent almost £10 on wholemeal flour, white flour, sugar, butter, vanilla essence, cocoa powder, plain chocolate, milk, yeast!

Have followed the recipe to make Marbled Chocolate and Vanilla Cake... (nearly whole slab of butter  ) it is smelling lovely though - don't know what it will taste like! I'm going to make him some white bread for when he gets in too if all goes to plan...

Ooh it's beeping - must be ready!!

Ohhh it was a great feeling not only to pick it from the shelf but to pay for it with cash (rather than credit) I'm such a saddo but I have so missed buying books...more so than anything. The library just isn't quite the same!

i know what you mean toots, i love books and i love to crack the spine and have a huge library of well read and loved books. i share them with my mum too. i've been good and not bought any new ones in some time, but i can't bring myself to go to the library cause as you say it's not the same :(
  • NSD 4 Me.

Almost not though as I had an email from the lady who runs our lottery syndicate at work asking for the next months money (£4). Now normally I would have just coughed up but because I was trying to stay within my budget and if possible hit an NSD, I had a think about whether I really wanted to carry on in the syndicate, and the answer was no! We've never won a penny on it, and I have never done the lottery at home, so I'm not quite sure why I thought joining in at work was any different. So I found someone to replace me in the syndicate (good luck to them) and stepped out for good. 'Every little helps' - hhmmm now where have I heard that before?

I spent £1.50 today on bus fare and then £5.23 in the post office.
£5 was to top up my PAYG mobile and the 23p was on a second class stamp - as opposed to the first class! :rotfl:

  • Hi everyone, I spent £2.90. That was on bread, pancakes and some sweets for my son. I was hoping for a NSD. Back to work tomorrow and I know I'll have to spend some money at supermarket, for trick or treaters, I get a lot of my friends coming round. I do have some stuff in house though. x
