So nearly a NSD but in the end after dutifully taking my lunch to work I bought a cake which cost me 99p. I shared it with the grumpy guy who sits next to me it was worth it to shut him up for five minutes and to stop him swearing at his computer!!Every Penny's a prisoner :T0

I had a tenner 'spare' (not really spare, of course, but it was 'pocket money' which I'd saved for a couple of weeks) so I bought a book - my first since my lightbulb moment.
Ohhh it was a great feeling not only to pick it from the shelf but to pay for it with cash (rather than credit) I'm such a saddo but I have so missed buying books...more so than anything. The library just isn't quite the same!
(The book was 'The Crossing' by Ben Fogle, in hardback and half-price [£18.99 reduced to £9.49] and I'm savouring every page!!)
