it was all linked to my paypal and ebay, but luckily i changed them in time. aah man. so annoying. i think i will file a paypal dispute dont know how far that will get me. would it be a trojan/virus on my computer? i have done a check and nothing was found, so i find the whole thing odd.
im under the impression, fileserve may have leaked this information? it just seems suspicious0 -
is there a way i can get a telephone number for fileserve? i cant see it on website0

There are regular reports here of compromised email accounts but I've never seen one for a fileserve account. Of course there are zillions more email accounts used than fileserve accounts but if a hoster was leaking login details in any volume they'd be out of business PDQ.
No chance you've been conned by a phishing email I presume?0 -
ok i think there is a way i could get the account back...
i just need to wait for gmail return my account details back. (i knew i should have linked into to another account, it would have been easier)
once i have them details i can amend the details/passwords
and on the fileserve website, i know the username, that remains the same, but when you click on lost password. it says
"Enter your Email address that you gave us when you created your account, we will send you a new password to it. "
so i assume it will go to the original email address?0 -
So far as I can see there is only a webform. Probably overseas anyway.therealworkingclasshero wrote: »is there a way i can get a telephone number for fileserve? i cant see it on website0 -

Not sure how your comment there (changed to XXXXX) is considered legally , but if you want to hit the headlines alongside wikileaks then go ahead. Using the same password was a mistake, get over it, your email has probably been compromised or worse still your PC I would consider your security before making claims aabout fileserve or even youe mail provider.
I have no cloud based stuff saved except piccies of my cat and the weather here
