Don't see how thermostatic rad valves save money

Eventually the boiler stat will cycle off and on. However this is inefficient and wastes energy. New installations must have some form of interlock to prevent the boiler cycling when the house is warm enough, and this is why new installations usually have 1 radiator without a TRV, and a roomstat in that room. That should be the last room to get warm, so when it's got warm the house needs no more heat and the thermostat cuts off the boiler.
There are other ways of providing boiler interlock, but a roomstat is usually used for domestic installs.
Owain, as I have outlined in this thread, I don't have an internal stat, apart from TRV's. At the time of me doing a complete system rip out from old single pipe system, guy who designed new system was struggling for a decent spot to locate in house stat, without saraficing heat hot or too cold in some other area. Hence the decision to do away with internal stat. I should add, when I first moved in here many years ago, stat was located in dining room, however, I disconnected stat, dining room would be up to temp, boiler off, others areas of house cold, some very!
You say setup I have is in efficient and wastes energy, can you advise what other ways there are to provide boiler interlock please, with increasing fuel costs, I want reduce wasteful costs as much as possible.

Actually, I now realise that there are only 2 TRVs, out of a total of about 10 rads, which seems a very poor setup without a room stat.
I am thinking of fitting a wireless stat (Honeywell DT92E). The bolier is a Worcester Bosch Highflow 400 and luckily has the wiring diagram inside the front panel so I can see where to wire in a stat.
Anyone any experience of that stat, or this boiler? Am I wasting money fitting a stat?
Also there is something called a RTL valve plumbed in near the boiler that is currently set on 3. Any ideas what this is and what adjusting it will do?0
