Well being in the north east we can get a small dweling for about 100K round here. Being a bankrupt in the past I will need at least 30% of that so £30 000.. at the least. So probably more.

It's going to be tiny steps while we're still a one wage family but once my little one goes to nursery I can step up the amount of courses I do within the degree to finish is sooner. I'm then planning to get work as an OU tutor while I continue to gain my PGCE and then hopefully teach psych at further ed level. If not i'll go into the psychology field, probably children orientated. There's a plan there but not all my plans.. er work!

  • Hi Miche

You & I have pretty much followed the same path over the last 2 years & I am so pleased to see that you are ready to build something with this diary that will give you the security that I know you need for your young family.

I admire your strength & determination & no matter how many setbacks that you have had you get up, dust yourself down & get on with the business of making the future positive & the best it can be.

I`ll not decend into `rambling` mode but want to wish you `good luck`. I really want to thank you for the support you have given me over the last couple of years & I hope I can cheer you on in some small way towards realising your goals.

    Angiexx

...ooops ended up rambling...LOL some things never change..;)

oooooh lunar eclipse. I didn't know, phone call from DH to say get my sorry bot out of bed and show the girls a bit of something interesting.

I've just read an email from 3Dogs, she's and aureol are helping some of us on 3Dogs' thread to find ways of making a little more money, she suggested quidco and I remembered I already do that. I went to check my balance to find the £50 I had from opening new life insurance after the BR was ended a few months ago had been credited.

Chuffed, i can update my percentage :)

Thanks for the support everyone. So Sad Angel we have been a support to each other although I feel there's been a tiny amount you have gleamed from me and I alot more from you. Not long now and then we'll be level pegging, all finished and put down to another life experience.

percentage is now 0.0019 <---- crikey talk about tiny steps:rotfl:

Well done Miche in letting us read your diary and id like to wish you all the best for the future. Onwards & upwards and yes the Money saving vouchers and surveys are worth doing to earn some extra cash. :money:
  • Congratulations on being positive about your recent events. I agree that we are obsessed in this country with owning property. I gave up my house after my divorce 12 years ago and am now very happily living in a HA flat in a lovely rural area. I have spent all my spare cash over the last couple of years refurbing it as I know that this is going to be my "forever" home and the rent is reasonable.
If anyone had told me 20 years ago that I would be in this position I wouldn't have believed them, but things can and do happen and you just have to go with the flow. Divorce, Bankruptcy, Redundancy - I just get on with it now and I think that is what you are going to do as well.
My very best wishes to you - I shall be following your progress....
