However you do get points if you pay with gift vouchers. I suppose if you were going to buy, say, £20 of stuff then you could first buy £20 of vouchers getting the points for these, then go and buy your stuff and pay with your vouchers, geting another £20 worth of points!0

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you get points buying gift vouchers. Only when you use them.If I had known then what I know now . . .

shazndaz wrote:Two weeks ago my hubby bought 2 boxes of Boots own nicotine patches. They were on special offer - buy 2 for a tenner (or £9.60 or something like that). "Bargain" I thought. It didn't say how long the offer would be on for but said the normal price was £6.40 each so I didn't think that was bad anyway. He went in on Sunday only to find that they are now £13.99!!!! They are buy one get one half price but that still works out at £10.50. I'm livid. I'd have bought the whole 12 weeks worth if I'd have known. Anyone know if I can still get them on offer anywhere? (only the Boots ones as for some reason the Nicotinell etc won't seem to stay stuck to his body
)
You should check to see if there's a smoking cessation (sp?) clinic nearby, they give patches & gum free (not on prescription, but free) or he could go to his doc & get patches on prescription. Just a thought. I was in boots buying gum for my dad & a little old lady came up to me & told me where the nearest clinic was0 -
Has anyone been able to use the No 7 £5 voucher as part-payment against the £15-worth of No 7 goods you need to buy to get the freebie bag? I've just heard a customer being told she had to spend £15 on top of the £5 voucher to claim the bag. This was at the cosmetics sales counter however; might be different if you try at a general till.
I meanwhile used me £5 voucher on a £8 lipgloss - and snuck through a 200 points (when you buy No7) voucher from the Boots magazine. So, a lipgloss for a pound!
Also, there's 150 extra points on any Boots hair de-fuzzing products, including the £1.99 bikini removal cream sachets. Makes them very cheap indeed0 -

Yes!!! I have!!!
I spent over £10 on bits and pieces three for two Listerene etc!! (and applied to join the advantage card scheme as I hadn't but thanks to Martin I am in on the hunt now!). Got my £5 off No7 voucher and trotted off to the cosmetics department grabbed a concealer stick for £11 and grabbed two items from the two for one summer skin care range (getting one free! Yippeee). Thus spending £15 or over on No7 and got my lovely bag with excellent bits and pieces (especially love the Mascara and foundation). The best bit was I got given another £5 off voucher as I had spent over £10 in Boots!!!! Lordy was my boyfreind loving me!! He had never seen such penny pinching work so sucessfully. So I went over to the summer skin care bit and got myself £6.50's worth of two for ones (four items summer lip care and face serum x2) and used my No7 voucher for these!! Spending £1.50 and using my voucher!!! Totally cool!!!
Have to say dont usually use boots, Prefer to buy my cosmetics at the local market where I can get major cosmetic brands at half price!"You may say I am a dreamer - but I'm Not the only one!" Amber;-)0 -
The cosmetics lady is a bit scary (aren't they all?). I always pay at the general tills, they turn more of a blind eye there if you're trying to be a bit cheeky with the offers0
