FairFx cards in Hungary Pay in Euros

I am going over to Hungary for some dental work. I am looking at getting one of the FairFX Euro cards to pay the dentist and the hotel.
Now, I know that the currency in Hungary is not the Euro, but the costs I have been quoted by both the dentist and the hotel are in Euro's. Do you think this means that the FairFX euro card will work at its cheapest or will I find them actually charging me in Forints? And as I understand it that means I would be charged more by the card (is that correct)?

Does the dentist accept credit cards? If so I would use one of those as it gives you additional legal rights. Sometimes in Hungary the price is quoted in euros but billed in the local currency.0

Thanks for that, I emailed him yesterday but got an automated response saying he is on holiday. Still got over a month to sort it out.
I thought that what you said about billing in the local currency might happen. I will just have to wait.0 -
Do you not get mastercard protection with the fairfx card?House saving Targets:

The credit card company is only jointly liable for purchases and services if credit is involved. Prepaid cards do not involve credit.0

Get the FairFx Anywhere or The Travelex Cash Passport Globe. Neither of the countries use the Euro. He'll take it in Forints.0

Thanks for the advice. As stilltheone said the dentist has confirmed the payment will be taken in Florints. The dentist has also said he charges 2.5% for all card payments. What is the best way to avoid the 2.5%? I am tempted to take cash but obviously if anything went wrong it would be a disaster.0
