This weather is not normal!

We've been in Goa for a few weeks now and the weather is just not
normal. We've had drizzle a couple of times and tonight the temperature
is forecast to drop below 20 degrees C!!!!!!
We might even have to turn the air conditioning off.
I gather that in the UK you have had some 'festive' type weather. You could save a lot of money by leaving Britain for the winter. Think about it,
NO heating bills - well that's my money saving tip for today - I hope it helps.

Merry Xmas from Bob the Saver.

Provided the outlay for leaving Britain balances out with the costs of staying at home.

Although sitting on a beach in sunnier locations in itself is probably worth the costs of going abroad - provided your plane can get off the ground of course!

Well anyone who goes away for the winter without leaving heating on is likely to come back to a flooded home from burst pipes.

Not if you drain the water and lag pipes properly. :)

What we save by taking the cars off the road (SORN) and cashing in the
tax discs alone goes a long way towards paying our rent here and you can get some very cheap flights if you book early, many people we know
pay for most of their flight ticket with their winter fuel allowance. It's a LOT LOT cheaper than staying in Britain. :D

Merry Christmas to you too, Bob.

Something I've wondered - do you drive a bus?

We're long standing visitors to Goa and I agree with you that the weather seems to be 'different' this year.
We were there last week of Nov & first 2 weeks of December and had rain for the first time EVER.

The beginning of the season last year saw a typhoon (or hurricane) which killed quite a few fishermen.
