Hi all,
I'm looking for a way to run a PC application (ok, its a game!) on my macbook.
I haven't even used a PC for about 5 years, does anyone know of a good bit of free software they can recommend?
Thanks

Another vote for VirtualBox. I'd go straight for the Oracle non Open Source version, as it has better support for USB and mouse integration, among other things.0

Thanks, will I need to use the DOS version of my game or will the windows setup work?0

I can't seem to get it to work, I might just give up and buy the playstation version off ebay!0

What game is it?
If it is DOS based, then DOXBox might be the best solution. Otherwise, it may run under WINE.0 -
Its Theme Hospital! I'm stuck at home alone and I just had a weird desire to play it! I still have the old Windows disc but I've been using Macs for years now.
I've installed Boxer, which I think is the freebie version of DOSbox, and it starts the install process but I can't figure it out! It won't let me change the install location to anything other than C: which obviously doesn't exist...0 -

Try reading the instructions for Boxer. Certainly with Virtualbox, it creates an image file which is treated as a C: drive. Likewise with WINE, it treats a folder as a C: driver.0 -

Ignoring the sarcasm, the game installs fine but when I press 'Quit Setup' it goes to a blank DOS screen with C:\hospital> and nothing more happens.
Is the game hidden somewhere then? I'm not very familiar with DOS.0 -
Never mind, found it. Woo hoo it works! There go the next 5 hours!
Edit: On a related note, does anyone know how to make DosBox go full screen?0
