Yes of course you can, there are a fair few of them for sale on eBay, just ask the installers to take care when removing them.

When someone in the family built an extension, they bought good second hand double glazed units and door. Then made the openings to fit.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

Could be difficult if they're not FENSA approved.

Not the OP's problem, that would be down to the buyer who of course may be FENSA approved.

    Why?

Can't the council sign them off any more?

Not sure of that, but more & more buyers seem to want certificates for everything.

Many want certifying more like. ;)
  • Please sell them in your local paper - I dropped on with a window this year for back room in my house fitted perfectly and saved me a small fortune!!! I'm not fussed about fensa as long as I'm WARM and it has made a great difference. I'm just keeping a look out now for my kitchen window.

Just for interest, the only issue regarding windows when I bought seemed to come from solicitor who was interested in if there was any certificate for the bathroom window, it wasn't something that had crossed my mind :o

What's all this FENSA nonsense. Who's going to know if you don't tell them.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
