Same thing's happened to me. I only ordered yesterday (2 slots left) and my order on the website says 'delivered'. First person I spoke to was very supercillious and gave me the impression I should have known there wouldn't be a delivery. I rechecked the website and no info about cancellations on the website for my area and 2nd woman was at least apologetic. I told her I wasn't happy and if I had known I could have made other arrangements. A phone call would have been helpful!0

i dont think its laughably lazy, i now and again do my shopping online when i have heavy stuff to order, i tend to stock up.,
im a busy mum of two who works full time,
takes the children to school at half seven , am there to pick them up from school,
i run the household and take the children to all thier after school activities which is mon to thurs
fri evenings i tend to relax and help kids with homework
weekends i do housework in the mornings and the rest of the time i spend it having fun with my children and visiting family.
if a home delivery means i can schedule more fun time in with my kids then im all for it
but i suppose its up to the individuals on whats more important, making my children come shopping when they really cant stand it (and yes an 11 yr old and an 8yr old are allowed to have opinions) and when they do come they behave very well and help me collect things and scan them. or spending time doing something we all enjoy whilst someone else does the work and a job role is fillednow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
I had mine cancelled last week. Not because of the weather, as we have no snow. But was given a few very weak excuses. I found out about 3 hours after it was due that it was cancelled, as I was led to believe that it was still on its way. CS staff though gave me loads of evouchers, and rebooked delivery for a few days later.
Downside was that the store never cancelled the payment so it still left my account along with the money for the redelivery.0 -
MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Tesco cancelled my delivery on Sunday but they did send a text to let me know - they suggested I re-book but no slots available till after Christmas so that's not a lot of help!0

Had a laugh this morning at the queue to get into the local waitrose just before the snows.
Heard on the radio ome were blocked in for a while. As for us and Freda, alll ours are in.
As for telco delivering, I would objectvthat their delivery is a nuisance aver 23:00 hrs and report them to environmental health. As for me personally, any delivery after 7 in the evening would be against their planning permissions0 -

really dont think you should have explained your life to them, we now live in a world where we have a choice to shop online, the snow luckily isnt that bad in manchester but if i had a any child in tow i wouldnt want to take them shopping id much rather keep them snug at home and not risk them getting too ill for a start at xmasAbsolutely gutted and heartbroken0 -
