I placed an order a few days ago. it should have come last night but didn't because of the snow. i called them and they said it woul be with me by 11:30pm but nothing I have called today and they have cancelled it all together. i didn't know tesco where doing that. god knows how im going to get a pushchair through this!. we booked christmas dinner out so we have absolutly nothing in. this snows a nightmare. but anyway has anyone else had there order completly cancelled? there are slots for the 27th why cant they delivery it then at least. a bit late but what the hey nothings going to plan this year.
Converted comper to MSE. Thank you for all your answers!

Yes, Tesco canceled my order for today by text this morning.

Our Christmas grocery shop is with Ocado, scheduled for delivery Thursday, so hopefully that will be ok. Last year Ocado made a huge effort to deliver in the snow.
  • I cancelled my order with Tesco yesterday, i thought they're not going to deliver my shopping on Tuesday so i went and fetched it myself and i got everything i wanted

taxi's are still working - if you cant drive and pushing the pram's difficult then just go by taxi. i know it'll mean outlaying more cash but at the end of the day you have to eat.

We were meant to have an order coming last night, wouldn't have been entirely surprised if they had phoned to cancel because of the snow. they say they will let you know if they had to cancel due to bad weather.
Although earlier in the day we had a Tesco van come to the door but the driver had gone to our house by mistake.

The order never came and we got no phone call or email, checked on the website and it was marked as delivered. DH phoned them this morning and they said "Oh delivered just means cancelled!"
will be keeping an eye on our bank account to make sure they don't lift the money for it.

I have a Tesco one due this afternoon. (Sainsbury were booked till well after Christmas by last Thursday.) When I checked online it was being packed. (I found out when I clicked the change order option.)

If it doesn't arrive I'll blame the council, not Tesco. Nothing has been done to the streets here.

Had a phone call a few mins ago to check we were in and it's just been delivered.:)
  • not just tesco. My waitrose order was picked and sent out for delivery but the driver wasn`t going to risk it so it was cancelled. Oh well

sulky update. My Tesco order didn't arrive. No call, no text. I rang Customer Services. The store had cancelled it. Without telling me.

I can't get to the stores -- I'm ill and housebound.** I understand they may not be able to deliver in this weather, it's the failure to notify customers that I resent.

(**I do have stocks of food in.)
  • I got my Ocado order this morning. Apparently, they have winterised their vehicles..snow tyres?????
    :T:T:T:T

Got a butcher delivering on Thursday..fingers, eyes and legs crossed here.
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I do have a frozen turkey crown and some frozen duck legs so we could still manage a decent meal, if they didn't turn up.

;) Felines are my favourite ;)
  •:mad::mad::mad:I'm actually sitting here fuming right now. phoned customer services to check if my order was coming only to be be told it was cancelled. If they had had the decency to call or text, I would have been able to have gone to the shops before they had closed.

Before you ask the reason I relied on the delivery rather then going out earlier was that my neighbour had a delivery earlier and the weather hasn't changed.
I also resent the stuck up way customer services have the cheek to tell you that you need to rescheuale the delivery baring in mind there's no deivery slots avilable till after xmas. Rant over!!!!!!!!:(:(
