Being charged extra for internet usage? (Unlimited!)

Well basically, we're using BT's unlimited broadband and are still getting charged an extra £25.
I thought the whole point in unlimited broadband was for it to be "unlimited"?
-It's extremely rare we download anything.
-I play on xbox live a few times a week.
-My sister plays Mario Kart Wii online almost everyday.
-And we use our computers everyday (watching videos and online games.)
So why are we being charged extra?
Is it the online gaming? I can't see how, as they aren't MMORPGs or anything huge. My sister uses Youtube a lot but still... it doesn't add up.
Thanks.

Are you sure your on unlimited.? BT has 3 options.
10gb on opt 1 broadband
40gb on option 2 broadband.
Unlimited on option 3 with 300 gb fair use.
you would only get excess use charges if your on option 1 or 20 -

then you need to speak to BT as something is wrong. Call 0800 800 030 option 1 and discuss your options.0

There is an ongoing confusion about downloading, e.g I spend 8 hours a day watching TV on the iPlayer but I never download anything.
A one hour programme on the iplayer is roughly 600MBytes.That gum you like is coming back in style.0
