Rebooking due to snow (Lufthansa)

Hello,
This topic is for the attention of CityBoy, or indeed anyone else who knows a thing or two. I'm looking at rebooking my cancelled flights on Lufthansa from today (18th December 2010) to next February.
In a legal sense, theoretically would the airline be obliged to complete my "rebooking" request as per EU Regs? I appreciate it's a question of availability, but the flights are the same and so are the prices.. at the moment.
I will ring the airline, but there are people with more pressing enquiries who need rebooking etc.
Just want a non-airline legal view on it.
Thanks.

The norm is they will put you on the next available flight or offer you a full refund. As the flights are the same price I would go for the refund and book the February flights as a new booking0

Cheers! It was just an aviation enthusiast joyride across Europe, so nothing too important.0
