My ebay Disgust

eBay is not a charity designed to help you get rich while they make nothing. They are a commercial, multi-national COMPANY.0

Doesn't it also state at the end of each listing how much fees wise you will be charged?Competition Wins:

Try flogging your stuff at a car boot sale then & see if you get the same level of sales & manage to keep as nice & warm & cosy as it's possible to be selling on Ebay, sitting in front of your computer screen with home comforts all around you.
I'm more than happy to pay my Ebay selling fee's as I know I wouldn't achieve the sales or prices on my unwanted items without them. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
I have recently sold a lot of stuff on ebay to raise money for Xmas, and the seller fees do mount up. I owe £60 now in fees. Having said that, my listings attract 100's of hits because of ebay's well designed service, so I have to accept that's the fee you pay. It is a massive leap from the 5% they used to charge. I'd like to know what ebay rakes in each month, it must be billions across the world.0

But Ebay have always charged a final value fee. The rate may have changed in recent years but I have been selling on Ebay on and off for 6 years and always paid FVF plus the listing fee.0

I have been charged 3 lots of nearly £7 for listing items on ebay which equated to around £90 over 4 months, coming to around £17 and the listing fees were often free 10p or at most 20p I am absolutely disgusted as i had never heard of this new 10% charge, i had used ebay a few years ago and it was a great service, now i believe it is not worth the while selling any items on there as for selling £90 worth maybe less it wont show me i cant remember but definably not more. have been charged £17.
Hope no one else uses ebay any more it is a despicable price and one that they just cannot justify.
I agree, it was good at one time but now....
Ebay is a multi million pound profit company, and as with other companies it gets greedy the more it makes, i stopped using eBay around 2 years ago when the charges were increased, i still get email from them and i bin it without reading, and their paypal company is also high on charging people, and having a near zero customer service, paypal service is terrible and i found i had to send them mails and it went round in circles passed from one member of their staff to another for around 2 years, i avoid eBay and everything to do with them.Owed out = lots. :cool:0
