You're giving pretty mixed messages here.
Either it is so bad at the new house that it is impossible for them to move out. In which case it is also impossible for you to move in, even if they had vacated. That is where the "oh well, live with it. there's nothing you can do anyway" posts are coming from.
Or its not actually that bad there. You believe that it is perfectly possible for them to move out and you to move in but they don't want to. In which case, listen to the posts that say you are legally entitled to move in on that day and they have to move out. If they don't you can take action to enforce completion and claim damages.
If you think its accessible but they don't think they can leave, showing up with a vanful of your furniture will pretty much show the error of their thinking. A reasonable person in this situation would get on and help them pack!0 -
Wonder if the OP has moved?
Hope so for the sake of the long-suffering people they are staying with! Outstayed their welcome? I should guess so!!
Well - they've either spent the day on the phone disputing whether the weather is/isn't too deep for all parties to move (remember Completion might be delayed by someone up the chain in a totally different part of the country being unable to move!), or they might be sitting in a removal van in a huge traffic jam on an impassable motorway. Give them time to contemplate.0 -
i just watched the weather forecast on BBC1 and they said if you have snow on the ground now it will almost certainly still be there for Christmas0

I was all ready to crack out the presents on Saturday, it was such a perfect day for Christmas Day. If I didn't have kids or was able to summon Santa, I'd have done it.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
