Hi
Can can say that the turtle mats are worth the money, I've spent money on the cheaper ones and they don't seem to work as well as the turtle mats that I got a an outdoor show in glasgow. Being a childminder there is a lot of coming and going especially with the snow I can say they live up to the name of trapping the dirt.

Hi Yes i child mind too and sometimes my mat see`s more traffic than the mats in the shop doorways, they are great and i bought i large one more chance of it taking more dirt off the shoes the more it`s walked on .I even cut my mat to fit flush up to the skirting and door ,Looks bespoke :rotfl: , I have 2 back door and front :rotfl::rotfl: mine are Turtle mat too and although there are cheaper ones around i think you get what you pay for in this type of product, well worth every penny and not sure i think they may be money back if not 100% satisfied? Also mine dry over night on a warm radiator0 -

We renovated the original wooden Victorian floors in our house, and have a policy of removing outdoor shoes at the door
This is how I feel. we wouldn't be without them. We have big indoor dogs and a farm where, unsurprisingly the ''office'' is my kitchen. Boots off at the door isn't practical if someone has let the dogs in dripping wet and not towelled them.
I'd say they get me down to mopping once-three times a day instead of constantly: his makes them sound less good than they are, but a day without them and either I cry about mud or I stand by the door mopping, mopping, mopping....:D
The other thing that makes them worth their weight in gold is they wash well but dry QUICKLY. We have quite a few and though I think they are unattractive they make my life very much easier. They are also useful under dog beds on hard floors to reduce the amount the bed moves around the room:D0 -
I think that Turtle mats are great. If you sign up for emails with them then you will be notified when there is a sale - once or twice a year. Some are half price!0

Yes they are great, we have them at both front & back door. They are too big for the washing machine, but I clean them with detergent and the pressure washer when the weather's nice, and they come up lovelyOfficial DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

As this has dropped down Old Style, I've moved this to In my home to see if you can get some other suggestions
Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. There is only one genuine Dirttrapper Mat which can be purchased online from the Dirtcatcher Door Mat Company.
These mats are 100% cotton pile, super absorbant, fully machine washable and tumble dry.
There are lots of cheap copies on the internet but this one really works. I have been using them for many years as I have 3 dogs which I cannot train to wipe their feet. I just get them to stand on the mat for a few seconds when we come in from our walk and no mud or dirt comes into my house. Fantastic product with a no quibble 5 year guarantee, you pay for what you get at the end of the day!0 -
