I heard about the medieval stocks ponds that are sposed to still exist, a few years ago - Hever castle's one place. Dunno if it's true....

I never could understand fishing.. I guess it's the whole male bonding thing.. guys sat round a freezing pond in the rain, playing with worms and maggots and sitting around for hours waiting for the big bite...

Firstly me and my mates don't play with each others maggots. We compare them and admire them but it's a strictly no touching rule!

It's not just about the catching fish though. It's so tranquil and calmer and I love the fact you can escape from the mad fast world we are in just watching the ducks with the water trickling. Seen some great wildlife aswell! :j
Sounds a bit corny but for me it's like finding an inner peace!
