  • I would avoid Acer at all costs unless you can get at least a 2 year warranty, even then, expect to send it off for repairs, possibly lose data and be without a computer for weeks at a time.... not ideal.

    Toshiba on the other hand are a very strong brand for laptops, I don't think you will go wrong with either of the original laptops you posted.

    That said, having looked at the 2 laptops, I think the i3 will mop the floor with the Athlon...

    The i3 processor can process data as part of the cpu, I would expect it to, combined with the motherboard, be able to outperform the AMD integrated graphics

    The i3 will "mop the floor" compared to the AMD offering, (Also in both Currys and PcWorld theres a under the counter 6 months BNPL, not advertised as it looses money for the company but if you ask for it they will process it)
