I would avoid Acer at all costs unless you can get at least a 2 year warranty, even then, expect to send it off for repairs, possibly lose data and be without a computer for weeks at a time.... not ideal.
Toshiba on the other hand are a very strong brand for laptops, I don't think you will go wrong with either of the original laptops you posted.
That said, having looked at the 2 laptops, I think the i3 will mop the floor with the Athlon...
The i3 processor can process data as part of the cpu, I would expect it to, combined with the motherboard, be able to outperform the AMD integrated graphics0 -
The i3 will "mop the floor" compared to the AMD offering, (Also in both Currys and PcWorld theres a under the counter 6 months BNPL, not advertised as it looses money for the company but if you ask for it they will process it)0
