Unlocking a Nokia via cable

Don't know if this is the right place to ask this question? - But I will ask anyway ;)

I have a Nokia 6230i which is locked to Tesco.
Some kind soul has tried to use unlock codes and failed so I understand that a cable solution is the next move.

I have a Nokia DKU2 cable which enables the phone to connect to a pc for downloadind info such as pictures etc.

Can this cable be used for unlocking - If so where can I obtain the necessary software?

Thanks in anticipation.

You need to search for an MBUS/FBUS cable for your handset.

Noticed some vendors offering cable unlocking at a car boot sale - will have a chat before parting with the £20 fee asked.

its called cable unlock because it is connected to the hardware by cable
£20 is ott for an unlock though - i usually charge £5-£10 for direct unlock
try phone stall on market where there may be more competition and cheaper prices
