I only found the site at the point of BR, luckily I had advice from CAB, although some stuff - like volunatary repo of house was not very well explained (and had wrong advice from OR office on that too!!!)

its just so scary, there is so much to take in, I think it bamboozles the best of us!!

This should go even further back to encompass the risks associated with the causes of bankrupcy.

There is a huge lack of financial education within this country and if BR was understood by people that undertook it that would put those educationally ahead of most people that take out a mortgage or a loan!

The number of times you come across a thread whereby someone has been paying a loan back for 5 years or paying a mortgage back for 20 years and hasn't a clue about how it all works is staggering.

which sums up the 'indoctrination' we undergo in our society...whereby, success and social credibility is, ''owning' one's own house, and acquiring all the trappings of life in our modern society.''

How we achieve those ideals is really rather irrelevant to a lot of people.

And in accepting this idea, I think very many of us have lost sight of really what is important in life......
