    HD or not?

Amazon is usually the cheapest for the highly regarded Humax Foxsat HD.

Humax kit gets good reviews. Their recorder does not have a built-in DVD recorder though, so if you want to keep a permanent copy of a recording, you'll have to attach another recording device. Don't forget if you want to record one channel while watching another you'll need two satellite feeds.

I don't actually think there is an SD Freesat recorder. There's a Humax and a Sagem one, maybe others now, but I have the Humax (Foxsat HDR it's called) and would highly recommend it, and most reviews would too I think. HD, iPlayer, looks good, easy to use. I think the cheapest way to buy it would be from Humax's own refurbished store - £180 if I remember correctly?
  • Maplins have some clearance ones, likewise richer sounds, humaxdirect is not a bad option either
