CRB and occassional helper forms

I should have qualified my earlier post by saying that whilst it won't automatically prevent him helping out with the drama group, in practice if you were a responsible adult accountable for the welfare of a group of young people and a CRB came back saying that a helper had a recent conviction for theft, what would you do? Any conviction involving dishonesty is looked on very poorly in my experience.0
