I stopped smoking as soon as I found this site and had my LBM 2.5yrs ago...I finished the packet I had and never bought them again, there was no way I was parting with a fiver for a pack:rotfl:
NSD no.2 for me too - haven't left the house...not that that usually stops me, I can spend online perfectly well;) Was very tempted with a book on Amazon last night but I resisted - going to see if I still want it in a couple of days then might use some Xmas money for it - disciplined, moi?!:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Ooh hello ladies *subscribes*
Tis the season for new diaries, even started my own. Hope you don't mind me joining in.
I've not been as good as you gals, its only my first NSD today (but not my last).
I'm committed to my new lifestyle this year and am changing for good. I am carrying my diary around with me religiously, scribbling everything down, from what I eat, to what I spend. I have taken up a few challenges to kick my !!!! into gear. Im determined to stick to it (basically because i'm broadcasting everything to the masses and I will not Fail);)
Well done on giving up the fags. :T0 -
Congrats DNMS!! Good luck with quitting!! It should help you with your fitness levels for the gym!!! :T:p

Morning day 3 and I'm struggling with a dilema (not sure I've spelt that right...anyway!) Not sure whether to go militant style with the NSDs and make it 3 in a row or to get the breakdown cover as per last week's email before it goes up by £1 tomorrow????
Pros & cons:
1. defo need breakdown (although haven't had it since march last year
)
2. its only £37 & by all accounts brlliant service
cons:
1. will make a serious dent in my diet
that's all the cons I can think of!
ok will give it another hour but if no further cons come to me I think its quite straight forward what I should do!
day 2 of no smoking :j (so I'm struggling with the idea ofd spending £37 on breakdown cover but I spent nearly double this on smoking last month
oh the shame..... DF as at 30/12/16

I think it's something worth having and for £37 that's definitely a good deal. I didn't renew mine last December....then of course in Jan, while on my way back from a hospital appt when I was feeling !!!!, I stopped at the doc for a repeat prescription and my exhaust plopped down to hit the ground. And having no man (boohoo) I needed the RAC man, so rang them and renewed - but at a much higher cost than before:(
So - spend the money:D And I wouldn't count that as ruining an NSD - it's an 'essential spend' in my book - I don't count any direct debits that come out in my NSDs as they're unavoidable, it's the silly extra non-essential spends that spoil NSDs:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

loving the way your wilely mind works there Milly :T so what you are saying is I can have my breakdown cover and still (eat) my NSD??? How very cunning of you :rotfl:
oooooo I'm so swayed by peer pressure I think I may do it

Yep, have your breakdown cover plus your NSD:D Actually I don't count groceries in my NSD counting - I have a separate grocery account so as long as it's proper needed food that is bought out of that account then it doesn't affect an NSD. I am strict though and will not buy mags, sarnies etc out of that account so I don't sneak treats and still claim an NSD! The account is only allowed £55 a week so I can't buy silly things! Thats just my rules, I know people all do it differently;)
I've now realised that my RAC is due for renewal in a couple of weeks - have the letter about it - but noticed it's £52 for the year and that's only roadside, not at home. So been looking online and think I'll be changing. If I want the homestart bit it'll be more but can probably get a good bit through Quidco - so glad you mentioned it:beer:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Mils check out last weeks newsletter and then the reviews for the cover seems like a good idea as long as you always have a cc/enough money in your an to pay & then claim back...DF as at 30/12/16
