i would recommend either virgin mobile or tesco mobile.
both very straightforward and no minimum top-ups.
I think the sim is continuously connected on virgin but you may need to make/receive a 1 sec call every 6 months or so...0 -
i have had an orange payg, was my dads, for about 2/3 years and ive never put a penny into it in that time, i dont know the ins and outs of why its still working but there you go, i just use it for incoming calls.0

It is still working as you obviously use it to receive calls. Most sims require that you make or receive a call every 6months to remain active (some less often than this and some more).0 -
The 6 months make or receive a call condition seems to apply to most (or all?) networks, rather than any top-up requirement.
Virgin has the reputation that the time goes on rather longer, and some others say they will reconnect SIMs on request.
Don't bother with easyMobile, as they have a low use monthly charge0 -
i see, i thought you were required to put money into at some point, that a fraction of say £10 top up goes towards using the network or something.
theres me thinking i got lucky with it, ah well the no:s getting moved to a contract now, too many free deasl out there not to take one up.0
