Aircons drip, when the room is very humid, you not want some condensation dripping on the TV

and for goodness sake make sure you fasten it SECURELY and get a mechanically minded pal to help out... a few little self tap DIY screws won't be enough and you'll probably be a little upset of your 50" ends up in pieces on the floor before you've even had a chance to watch anything on it...

Did it come with a base stand? perhaps pop it in the corner / just on the table for now and live with watching it like that till the installers get there :)

the installers have come and gone--they had their samsung ids and put 6 bolts in the wall!--i positioned the tv diagonally away from the ac---i have never had an ac leak inside they usually leak on the outside unit as they are exposed to external weather-seals go quite regularly in the extremes!--its plus 40 in summer and 5degrees tonight!

One bit of advice, make absolutely sure it is fixed properly using wallplugs that will hold more than it's weight.

There have been accidents, including fatalities, with badly hung TV brackets.

You certainly can and indeed most do live quite happily without the benefit of ac in Turkey.
