anyone know when then toys and decorations get reduced in WILKINSONS please?

xmas eve but some ranges in the xmas section may get staggered like crackers etc which will go 50% after new years. Also worth noting that some toys wont be included as these will continue to be stocked whereas as the others are just xmas lines. some reductions already on kitchen section for the jan sale

asda 80% off there entertainment site but doesnt look that cheap compared to others such as hmvs online sale as an example check you prices against other stores before you buy from this one. i would suggest google shopping to check with.

looks like they will all be starting in next day or so i reckon most will be online after stores shut xmas eve. and its the ones come sooner rather than later will get the market share of business.

Question is do we go for 50% in the December sale or hang on and hope for something worth picking up in the 75% mid January sale [/QUOTE

If you see something you badly want, then buy it in the 50% sale, but hang on tightly to your receipt. Then if it's subsequently reduced to 75%, you can buy it, and return the 50% one, and get your money back.

Some Bootsers, in Days Gone By, have even managed to return the 50% item, get a refund, and then re-buy it with 75% off, but I would think that very risky, and would depend on the SA.

    Enjoy your sale-buying! HTH

Not sure if we badly want anything :rotfl:;) but I am sure we will succumb to the sales, I have a wish list as long as my arm on Boots (all for others) so will see what goes on offer when and if I feel the urge to buy. I have just ordered a few bits from ASOS for next year gifts (must stop I have so many gifts for occasions through out next year including Christmas , got the S&G OOTW for daughters birthday, really pleased with that and I know she will love it).

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR-ymt9WWuSL0KIhhktEzHP1ttGhDXFz9qMj4hjFKtNDehJOsE1 I have £45 in Boots points so have made a gift voucher for my daughter giving her the card as a stocking filler to buy herself some bits next year.

    x :)

Do any Scottish MSE folk know if Paperchase will be open on Boxing Day? I'm specifically wondering about the one on George St in Edinburgh.

    Thanks!
