An orange contract question.

In August of this year, my daughter upgraded her mobile at an Orange shop. She was asked if she wanted to remain on the same tarif and said yes. What she had forgotten was that her tarif was a " special" that was/is due to expire in November and that then, she should/will return to the tarif she was on prior to the special being offered. When this happens, it wil be unsatisfactoryDespite calls to orange customer services and to the store where the the upgrade was made, all they will say is that :-a) she can either buy herself out, orb)wait six months, then they will let her downgrade orc) wait eight ? months then they will allow her to upgrade.Given that I've understood this correctly, can anyone shed any light onto a situation where she can make changes now and get them to revert this policy. Thanks in anticipation.

I think its a 9month minimum period on the contractual contract, but do not take that as gospel.
I take it she is outside the 7 or 14day period on this? As a return option might be viable? Has she been back to the store?
If so then it seems to me she is now contractually oblidged to fulfill or buyout her contract now and Orange won't show any leeway.0 -
there is no 7 or 14 day return on upgrades if you upgrade in store, once you leave the store your tied inYes Your Dukeiness0

TBH,
I think you should be able to change the tariff as you have had this tariff for longer than 6 months, the new handset just ties you into contract for another 12/18 months, not the tariff.
If for example, you had changed the tariff at point of upgrade, then you would be stuck on that for 6 months.
I'm not positive on this.
Its also worthwhile double-checking the t's & c's as sometimes, it states that as you are on a promo tariff, you must remain on that tariff for X amount of time when the tariff returns to standard.CPW Retail

Has she checked out the different tariff options that are available and had a look at the one she would want and at the price difference - this is probably worth doing then she can go to orange and try bargaining with them though I suspect that she is contracted in.Weight Loss - 102lb0

Thanks for continuing with this. She is currently away and uncontactable. I will persue this for her asap. (oh, it sounds as though she is being detained etc. but I can assure she's not)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. orange now only offer the animal plans or something called the core plans,
if shes stayed on her old tarrif and now wants to change she is not allowed to downgrade it within the first 6 months of the new upgraded contract
if she wants to change her tariff she can only do it to the core plans as the animal plans would have only been available when she upgraded now she is restricted only to those core plans which to be honest are !!!!!!, £25 gives i think its 100mins they dont rollover no texts nothing like thatYes Your Dukeiness0
