  • When did you speak to them? I was on the phone today.
Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.
  • Exit fees if you switch to another supplier are bad enough but exit fees for swapping one npower tariff for another?? !!!!!!?? Having said that, it's not unique to npower as I seem to remember British Gas doing it some time ago - no idea if they still do, though. Ofgem?? The

  • I know what you mean, companies are devious. That's why its the job of customers to read the T & C's and so forth.

    Thursday afternoon

Did you have any more joy with them, or are they still digging their heels in??
  • Reading between the lines SOL2020 looked pretty cack a couple of weeks ago, so if I had to guess I'd say they were losing money on the previous versions os SOL 17-19 in particular. This is just a hunch.

The T & C's are a bit of a nightmare to be honest. Because of the termination fee and the end date many people assumed they had a fixed rate. Clearly if they had a fixed rate NPower would just have to stand the loss.

I am on SOL17 and looked at SOL20 for a slight saving. I understand from a conversation today that cancellation fees won't be charged if the customer decides to change (tariff or supplier). This is the only reasonable position they could take under the circumstances IMO.

Just been on the phone with NPower, they have gotten rid of the exit fees :D

The only providers that will save me money now have no increased their tariffs (yet!) and the lock in terms mean I am not inclined to switch and get stitched up!

I am going to jump to Sign Online 20 (half way between the old and new sign online 18 prices) only because it's less risk and I get my £100 cashback soon :D
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

Hmm. Of course, coincidence is not correlation is not causation. 20% decrease in average consumption (see this thread) plus 5.1% 'average' increase. Completely unrelated to the increase in nPower's standing charges. :)
