Hi
**first post - please be gentle!**
Just spent 20mins on the phone trying to cancel my O2 contract as I rarely use the phone so was thinking of switching to PAYG.
After much discussion he eventually gave me his final offer;
O2 Leisure Tariff - 400 offpeak minutes to O2 mobile & landline
Free LG chocolate phone
£150 cashback cheque after 60 days.
£8.50 per month for 12 months
He said I could cancel after my £150 cheque arrives. I would have to pay the remainder of the 12 month contract line rental, but this still leaves me with £48 and a new phone. He siad there was no catch to this but it seems to good to be true. I end up with £48 and I can sell the new phone on Ebay!
What do you all think as Im a novice at this kinda stuff?

O2 offered me a good deal to retain my business. A pretty smart phone and £10 per month for 150xnet anytime minutes and 150 texts per month.
I still went for a 100% cash back deal and new phone with another company though as I was saving £120 a year.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)0 -

The deals are real, but they bank on people using more airtime and not bothering canceling or applying for their cashback and stuff. For those that are on time and cancel when they should it's a good deal.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0
