Refused Bank Account

Thank you Olly, I shall search up on N Hunter.
No bank tried to contact me at all. In fact Natwest rarely contacted me with anything.0 -

Next time you have a bank account or when you finally get credit cards give them your mobile phone number.
And don't change it. If you do then you have to give them your new number asap or risk transactions being blocked.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -

Is this actually good idea then?
I always figured that it would be asking for endless calls or texts with advertising-bumph, but if it serves a useful function I'll do it, because I use internet banking quite a lot.0 -
Alright, I'm going to get an Equifax and Call credit £2 credit report. I'm also going to apply to the electoral roll and I shall post back when I've got the credit files.
Thanks everyone!
One more question: Since Natwest use Experian and Equifax, If I apply to a bank that only uses Callcredit would it work? (Not trying to lodge the banks, I'm trying to get an understanding on how these CRA's work)0 -

By the way, you didn't answer my question in post #5.
Sorry, to answer your question I think the credit report looks up everyone in the household specified, so yeah my dads details came up along with just one search through halifax.
Since my Experian report showed nothing that can be deemed as a fault, If I applied to a bank that only used Experian. Would I be successful?0 -

There's a major issue here and you need to speak with the CRA(s) to get it resolved..and hold off making any more applications until it is. Grab a freephone number from www.saynoto0870.com and make yourself comfy!
Educate yourself as to the workings of the CRAs by reading this guide...

Hmmm... I thought this also, but since I currently do not have a debit card for the CRA's to confirm my identity, I had to send a postal order with the £2 Statutory credit report application. I thought maybe because I haven't done the online report and haven't personally identified myself the postal statutory report comes up under the household instead.
I hope that makes sense.
Although my Dad is A Mansilla and I'm A-A Mansilla
But to differentiate that I added my middle names such as L and J. My dads middle names are M and P
On second thought, maybe my dad was added because of our similar initials?0 -
A copy of your Experian credit report will show you all the data a lender could see in your name at your addresses held by that credit reference agency.
Information about other people may also be provided to your lenders but ONLY if you have a financial link, such as a joint account.
If there is CIFAS information in your name at one of your addresses then this would appear on your credit reports with all three credit reference agencies.
Credit checks can only be undertaken these days with your full name and date of birth, so there should certainly be no confusion with your father.

I would write and complain to Natwest. They are the only ones who can sort this out for you. Experian will not ammend any details they may have recorded against your name without Natwest agreement.
