TalkTalk

My contract with TalkTalk comes to an end this month, I have seen on this website comments that Talktalk, Virgin and BT are not either the best deal or cheapest. I have a bundle phone and broadband so it is not the easiest to change and get the best deals.
Usually there is a service charge to take over the line and offers like Plus net do not apply to me in Scotland as well as others.
I received a phone call from Talktalk today usual introduction about how are you since you are leaving or contract is coming to an end etc then goes on to this is what I am offering, free three months same terms and conditions etc, I asked what was the length of the contract 24 months I said no, he quickly said 6 months half price on an 18 month contract, I have 7 days to change my mind

Plusnet prices apply across the UK, being in Scotland is irrelevant to the price you pay-what is relevant is the market status of your exchange.
Checlk your LLU options on https://www.samknows.com by doing an exchaneg search.
Is your line already LLU'd by TT-if so your only option is to take your line rental back to BT on a return to donor, which requires a 12m contract. once back on BT you can pick your ISP of choice. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I have contacted Plus net and the monthly line rental is £24.00 plus a charge of £45.00 totake over the line !0

Please can you post your samknows LLU data and confirm your exchange name or market status. Line rental alone cannot possibly be £24!
If your line has already been LLU'd then you will have no option but to go back to BT. LLU to LLU transfers are not possible (except sometimes if moving to Sky).No free lunch, and no free laptop
