W850i Battery life
Options
Hi I got the Sony Ericsson W850i at the beginning of this month and I am finding that the battery life on it is terrible. For instance, today I charged it to 100% at 2pm it is now 10.20pm and the battery has 4% left. I could understand it if I had been using it but apart from one 5min call and about 10 mins on a game it has not been used. I'm really not happy with this as I feel like I cant trust it to last for me when I need to go out for the day. Has anyone else had any problems with this phone or does anyone have any advice? Is it worthwhile going back to the retailer where I bought it (phones4U) or would that be a waste of time? Thanks in advance

I have the phone, and the battery life is much longer than you mention - I'm using it to play music most of the time and it'll last two days at the minimum!
I think there may be something wrong with your specific phone. I would ask at phones4u that the battery's playing up and if you could get a replacement, and if that has no success it'll be underwarranty and you should get a replacement from Sony Ericsson.0 -
phones4u have dodgy 850i's... its the same with most of their handsets.. most of em dodgy some way or another.. hence the deals they offer...0

Thats a bit of a sweeping statement, can you back this up with some facts.0

Hi guys
I also bought the 850i - have had it for one week now.
The battery does seem to reduce quite quickly - I am not playing games or music, cause I aint figured that out yet !!! but I look at the battery indicator and think, mmm just how good is this battery.
I also bought it from Phones 4 U....
Pensionstudent - How can they sell you dodgy "new" phones ????0 -

maybe this battery life issue may be sorted in a future firmware update on seus0 -
I think Pensionstudent may have some axe to grind against phones4u
Regarding W850i battery life ive found mine goes down quick after ive used the phone but seems to recover and the battery level goes back up into the green. If you check your phone status this gives you a better indicator of remaining battery life in % terms.0
