:Ttwo more this week ... all this talk of teramundis etc - just acquired the piggy bank from Avon that adds up your coins as you save them...so I know I'm up to £168:T:TIf you can't take responsibility for it, you'll always be a victim.

I've already been saving my £2 coins, and have £28 saved up. I'm also doing the VSP challenge, it's great watching it all mount up!

Hi popsicat - aren't digital boxes fun! They sell them where I work and when we occassionally get them back claiming to be faulty we all have great fun raiding our pockets to check them out :T (They are generally fine)

Hi Pippy
hi Linz
Welcome both!! Tea will be along to give you a number at some point I'm sure. I'm not sure where you can get these tins. Have you tried poundland or somewhere equally cheap cause otherwise it defeats the object slightly by paying for a tin to save into :rotfl:! I'm sure someone else will know thou
Good luck with the saving. Coins do seem to come in waves and occassionally pots need emptying so as to put some £2's back into circulation - we don't want to use them all up now do we
Hope you are all enjoying the sunny weather.
Still waiting for my allocation number( I'm excited:D) but have managed to put another £2 in today. £30 so far.
Don't want to put signature until i have my number0 -
well I know its not really money saving but I ordered another one of those coin counter pots yesterday. So now I have one to use as my sealed pot and one to use to save my £2 coins in. If I can see the totals mount up then I'll be motivated to keep at it rather than raid it !! I was so tempted to order a kindle this evening but I have already spent my birthday money (it was spent before my birthday in fact!!) so I can't justify the expense and have decided I am going to save my £2 coins towards that. I don't have any yet. Kept hoping I would get some in my change today but no such luck !!!0

I got two shiny £2 coins in my change today :j:j:j so the challenge has begun!
My pot has been dispatched also so I will soon be all set up. I have in mind to save my coins in batches of £20 - i.e. collect £20 in £2 coins, bank it and credit £20 against my credit card, keeping a note to pay myself back when credit card paid off :j that means my credit card gets paid off quicker and I get a treat at the end :T I have in mind a kindle
but when I have saved all the coins, I don't think I shall want to spend them :rotfl:
