Ah well. Due to a blip with some pay at the end of last week, pot has been emptied, yet again.
Back from hero to zero. I still have a rough idea of how much was, thats should, be in the pot, now. If i'd spent it on seagulls whilst it was there, well , i'd be getting a break, but on the other hand? Its been raided so many times, i can't keep up with it. Maybe i should write an iou and leave it in my empty pot. Maybe i should just give up this feeble attempt at saving. It aint ever going to happen, realistically.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

OK. Empty pot, iou for £90. It was £86, but i've a couple lurking in small change, so no point putting them in my jar, therefore an iou for £90. Whats the chances of me ever finding £90 from thin air? A five year old could save more £2 coins than i could, ( largely because they have free board and lodgings ).
Is it instant disqualification from the thread if you keep emptying your pot? or am i the only one who does or does'nt live in the real world?Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Ani, please don't beat yourself about having to spend your coins, at least you had the money available and didn't have to get into debt! You are trying to save and that is the most important thing!
I will shortly be transferring my coins into my glasses fund as I'm having an eye test later today. I will reset to zero and start again.0 -
Had to spend 2 £2 coins yesterday as I went for a drink and couldn't use my card for less than £5. Was annoyed because in the end I spent more than that! Not Rachmaninov
