I wish to lodge a complaint against this thread. Since I (re)started saving £2 coins I have managed to grab a measly ONE! I think all you lot must be nabbing them, even though I do my best to pay with a note if I think I might get a lovely, shiny, golden £2 coin in my change all I get is the poor second cousin, the £1 coin. The stupid thing is, I jump around and squeal like a girl when I get one! I think we should rally the royal mint and ask them to produce more! My holiday spending money is never going to mount up at this rate....... :-)2013 NSD challenge 3/100

Just had a look at the Royal Mint website and according to them there are only 345 two pound coins in circulation as of March 2010.

I guess it makes this thread all the more appealing.
