  • I wish to lodge a complaint against this thread. Since I (re)started saving £2 coins I have managed to grab a measly ONE! I think all you lot must be nabbing them, even though I do my best to pay with a note if I think I might get a lovely, shiny, golden £2 coin in my change all I get is the poor second cousin, the £1 coin. The stupid thing is, I jump around and squeal like a girl when I get one! I think we should rally the royal mint and ask them to produce more! My holiday spending money is never going to mount up at this rate....... :-)

  • Just had a look at the Royal Mint website and according to them there are only 345 two pound coins in circulation as of March 2010.

I guess it makes this thread all the more appealing.

    Good morning

First of all I got 4 in my change in T*sco :j - I nearly burst!! What is the matter with us!?

Then when I told DD1 she produced 3 more which I bought off her - total is now £30 so I'll bank £20 on Monday.

I know DS has a load but he won't sell them to me - I'm going to have to choose my moment with him!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.
  • Another one pilfered (sp?) out of OH's pocket this morning :D
