Amazon -anyone else having delivery problems?

Were the items in question ordered from amazon or other retailers using the amazone site? If the latter, then it is possible that their distribution is less efficient than amazon's.0 -
I have ordered quite a few things - and so far except for one item all were within the estimated delivery time (and the one that was not was only a few days out )0

Thanks everyone. Would you believe one parcel was delivered late this pm (the parcel containing the ILs Xmas presents which is a relief!). Two of the others are being delivered to another address so keep your fingers crossed.
edited to say that yes they were all from amazon itself, have been stung by their sellers before so avoided this..0 -
Im a week late on an order from amazon .com but the stuff I ordered a few days back on amazon .co got here straight away0

I use Amazon a lot due to great service and free postage to our wee country, they have supplied christmas once again this year as they have done the past few years, but delivery times are slower and I still have 1 outstanding order which was due a few days ago.
They are feeling the pressure of postage and courier holdup due to weather but I think they are just extremely busy as well, more so than other years, but have faith, hopefully everything will show up in time for the big day:TI am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
Don't know if I have just been lucky, but ordered a DVD set on the 12th - estimated delivery date was the 17th. It arrived today. I live in Bangor.0

I ordered a Kindle for my wife's birthday on the 1st of November, it hadn't arrive by the 10th so they issued a replacement. This parcel was tracked to Bedfordshire where it just disappeared. I rang to complain (again) around the end of November and after checking with Royal Mail that I hadn't received any such parcels they ordered a third Kindle, my second replacement. That was two weeks ago, they dispatched it finally on Tuesday in an expedited service to arrive yesterday. No Kindle in sight.
Their flagship product has been the bane of my gift giving, what was supposed to be a birthday gift had to become an Xmas gift and now will have to become a refund. Useless. And for an pricier items, like Kindles, you think they would have a proper tracking process.
Anyway, moan over.:(0 -
London dweller here, but we've had delivery problems with them and so have colleagues in work.

Placed an order on 7th December, despatched on 9th, should have been here on 14th, still no sign of it - although stuff we ordered after that date from other websites has got here just fine.
DH emailed yesterday and go no reply, he just phoned them to ask where the parcel was - he was told we have to wait until the 21st when it might possibly be delivered!
After that phone call the email mysteriously got answered too with the same reply. As we are travelling a 240 mile round trip to deliver the presents tomorrow, the parcel will go straight back in the post to Amazon when it eventually gets here. We now have to go shopping (the traffic is horrendous according to the Highways Agency website) to buy stuff last minute, and hope we can actually get it and not have to trail round several shops.
So much for trying to buy online to avoid last minute shopping!:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

I ordered Christmas presents on 3rd Dec, received one a week later, the rest are stuck at a Royal Mail Distribution centre in Scotland, according to the tracking info. I bought the items directly from Amazon. Can't see me getting these by Friday. Usually find Amazon items arrive promptly though.0
