    Good morning all
I am holding and currently still buying the following three investment trusts as my long term retirement fund RCP. BTEM. TEM.
and am thinking of adding a HSBC ETF HUKX to the portfolio.
I also make avc payments to my final salary scheme, and am overpaying on my mortgage.
I have worked for over 40yrs now and do not want to retire without
a pot to p##s in as my dad used to say.:rotfl:

should see 5/6 fold return in 2011. Fortunate to see them present (for the first time in 18 months) at the Oil barrel conference in early December and they were well received. Built a very proven management team up over the year, should see big rewards from here on in.
Interestingly I already have these on my O&G watchlist but, can't for the life of me remember what triggered their inclusion.

Edit: Was hoping I could reduce my exposure to MXP by now but that now seems like mid/late Jan at the earliest. So will keep monitoring CAD.

Cloudy, HBK are selling down their CAD holding for eoy (US tax year) losses. Once they've gone then there should be a very decent re-rating of CAD, decent management team now at the helm. Have a bit more info on these which I can't say on a public forum but suffice to say it should be seen as most possitive - obviously the 'insider trading accusers' may be on me but it's not as straighforward as that.

bobbyj, I'm always happy for someone to bring a share to my attention, if I were to decide to invest then that is my decision.

Looking at the chart there might be a small chance of getting some at 20p but, having not checked their bid/offer realtime I'm nor sure how large the spread usually is.

I have a large holding in POG atm which is making me a little nervous (short term) so I might take some off the table there and look at CAD further.

  • You should all make an entry on the stockchallenge website and maybe win something for these predictions

My tip is Robert Wiseman, a well run family company who control 30% of the UK dairy industry. 5.5% yield, and I see the price has dropped today - maybe time to top up?

    ex div on this wed

What % are you into POG for.
Iam 3.65% invested in POG and about half that for CEY so in theory Im not worried, if they got cheaper I'd want more

    23% POG, 24% CEY.

Hey, I'm nothing if not adventurous.

Wow, I think you have done well with commodities though. That is basically what you stick to right.

Price of gold can go down, it is possible  Still they likely not fully valued I would guess. I got VGM and CLF recently to replace AAL

graph outlook is not so positive but its only one point of view

    Yup.

VGM and CLF are in my PM watchlist but have never got in to them. I think both are good plays and have good potential.

POG is in a downward trading channel. The crunch point will come when they release their Q4 production figures (mid/late Jan I think) which may coincide with the lower support or a double bottom. If they miss their Q4 and lowered annual production numbers by any margin then the market and therefore SP will react badly.

POG has huge potential but they keep peeing off the City.

ATM the spread on CAD is nearly 10%, which is very off-putting - I don't like lining the pockets of market makers.
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:
  • CAD is a setsmm stock and is usually quite liquid on a decent volume day and one can usually deal within the spread.
