Remove battery and power, hold power button down for 10secs this ensures any small amount of volts in capacitors are discharged, replace battery and power try to start. This works with an ASUS EEPC.

My wife had the same problem with her HP netbook the light was on but it would not charge even though the AC lead was plugged in. I tried everything until I found lying on the floor the correct AC mains lead. My wife had picked up the wrong AC lead and plugged it in:D:mad:. It could happen to anyone

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)
  • my elderly next door neighbor took her PC to pcworld a sit was playing up and they told her it had a virus and it must all be scrapped.

They even told her it would be in the monitor!!!!!!!

they sold her a £1400 computer and all she needs one for was to email her daughters.

i took it back for her and got her one from dell for £289 and she kept her screen and everything

PCWORLD are overpriced scammers that dont know what a pc is

PC World are a business like any other whose main aim is to maximise income. It is entirely up to you if you choose to spend your money there or not. And whilst they are overpriced for a lot of stuff, they are convenient and I know of nowhere else at 7pm on an evening I can get a hard drive there and then for a "must be done tonight no matter what the expense" job. I have a trade account with suppliers yet from time to time I've used PC World. And when they've got their sales on, you'll be lucky to buy a laptop for the same price elsewhere.

At the end of the day though, people are buying these low rent laptops which are cheap beyond madness and built accordingly then wondering why they pack up.
