hi folks, just a wee heads up about this mob.ordered phone 2 weeks ago,110 pounds cost online to be delivered to store in glasgow city centre for birthday present.because of weather never arrived till yesterday.went in to cancel it as birthday was away last week and upshot is would only refund 100,still had to pay for the simcard even though my hands were not even near the box, tried arguing my case that was promised 2 days to deliver and was for a present ,etc etc,but to no avail, very rude and incompedent staff, think they only got job for xmas period!final outcome is manageress of the store broke seal of the box to retreive sim card for me ,now stuck with simcard wont use as im on voda and sim is orange.the store was 99 BUCHANAN STREET!STAY CLEAR,STAFF NOT GOT A CLUE

  • Credit is non-refundable wherever you go or whoever you speak to. There's no physical way to refund it as it's airtime credit.

And the sim cards do not come in with the phone, they are separate. Which sim card did you purchase with the phone? Did you accept a refund? I'm finding it very difficult to understand your post.
Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug). ;)

It could well be a network packaged handset and if bought online will already be topped up. So its understandable that the air-time can't be refunded. I actually think its good customer service to give you the card so you can use it. After all, they were just as much 'victims' of the weather as you .
  • I'm not too familiar with PAYG, but wouldn't credit/air-time be covered under the distance selling regulations so it would have a 7 day cooling off period? Surely it would be seen as some sort of contract?
  • when i bought the phone you had to pay 10 pounds for sim but how can they not refund it if i havent even registered since i never even got my hands on the box to open it.i thought you coulnt get credit on phone till you registered so whats the problem

The sim card probably as it's goods, the airtime credit is payment for a service so probably not.
