I vaguely remember reading that although it would be illegal to break the DRM on downloaded/streamed content...

The BBC iPlayer radio streams do not use Digital Rights Management.

Was having a thick moment! Have to first close iPlayer, have now got it working but the program I want, "The great British Faith" Radio 2 Mon-Wed 10pm does not come up! Perhaps I will have to buy a cassette recorder but then how do I put a cassette onto a CD! AAARRRGGGHHH
Life is so complicated. Unless you know another way?
    Will try Audacity later today.

They were able to download until two Fridays ago. (By using software pretending it was an iPod.) That loophole has now been closed. You are now limited to recording streams in real-time. Nice of the BBC to coincide this with increases in electricity prices.

Even worse is the fact that versions of television programmes for poorer license payers are completely unavailable - streamed television does not work on older hardware.

With a PC it's very easy to get the listen again programmes as a podcast with the excellent Radio Downloader, makes my commutes into work half bearable. Here's a work through on how to use it:-

    Hi
    I'm not using a Mac.
    I use get_iplayer with Linux.

You need help from a Mac user.
