OOh noooo. Well I am actually the slowest person on the planet when it comes to these things because I didn't know you had split with GF1, met minnie or become an item. So sorry for that guys. But, I can manage to be here at 1.30 am to say, sorry sweetie, I hope you two aren't feeling too down because broken hearts suck.
It's a shame because for the 30 seconds it took for me to read the past 3 month's posts I thought you were a lovely couple. Lovely couples do go on to be lovely mates though, I dated one of my best friends for 4 years, I think we are closer now than when we were together. But as I don't know the ins and outs I will shut up and give you both a great big hug xx:A

Not as harsh as Phil Colins, he once dumped his wife of lotsa years by fax, sent to the post room in her office building, I haven't forgiven him for that yet even though it was 20 years agowell, girls have to stick together.

Via PM is very cruel. You're best not being with someone who is prepared to end a relationship via a PM.0

In fairness there is never a nice way to end a relationship and as no one knows the full facts it's wrong to judge. They are both lovely people and it's our job to be there to cheer them both up, not to get involved in personal problems or start taking sides.:A

Blame is not - I feel - all that constructive in these sorts of situations. It doesn't change the outcome.
I guess I'm a bit of a luddite in this situation, and I would have phoned or written or something. But each to their own."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I know it seems harsh Z to end a relationship by PM but I'm sure Minnie didn't mean to be cruel. I have had to end relationships in the past and I have agonised over how to do it. Phoning does seem to be the best way but that's hard to do. I find that I get too easily swayed by hearing the other person's hurt that I end up agreeing to give it another try just because I don't want to hear them in pain. After many years around the block I have come to understand that dumping someone is as painful as being dumped, just in different ways. Writing is sometimes better because you can put your feelings down and don't get distracted, but the problem there is you have no control over how the other person will read the tone of the letter.
I have been dumped too, many times, and I have had some pretty harsh ones, I think the worst is when you are just left wondering, no contact, no dumping just left to figure it out. That to me is cruel.
But, little right now will take away the hurt, that comes in time. Concentrate on the fact that you are a great person and there is someone out there who is truly right for you. Don't read too much into Min's methods, I doubt for one second she wanted to hurt you any more than was possible, just think of it as being the same as a letter, it's just we now live in an electronic age. Besides no one would dare write a letter any more with how Royal Mail is (or who ever they are these days) you would end up dumping someone 5 streets away 6 months after the letter was posted. Lots of hugs, I'm not siding with Minnie here, just trying to offer an explaination from my experience on both sides ending relationships.:A
