CP Plus - I'm missing your letters......

A few months ago a vehicle for which I am the registered keeper stopped for a bit over 2 hours in a MOTO motorway service area. Usual story, long day, 350 mile overnight drive to the next client etc.

The driver slept right through the alarm set for one hour.

A few days later I got a letter from those delightful people at CP Plus suggesting that I was some sort of criminal and all could be made well if I sent them lots of money - how thoughtful.

I was just about to take them up on their kind offer to clense my soul for a mere £50 when I happened upon this forum. It turns out I'm not a criminal after all. Apparently being the registered keeper of a vehicle which stays for a few minutes beyond 2 hours in an empty carpark at 3am isn't realy a crime!!!

So I'm now the proud owner of a total of 3 letters from my new 'friends' at CP Plus. Each letter asks for more money that the last, they seem convinced that I'm a real sinner, and each spells out dire consequences should I fail to let them redeem my soul.

The last one seemed to suggest they were going to pass my case on to a high authority (Bishop 'Knuckles McGraw'?) if I didn't put £120 in their collection plate.

Needless to say I'm confident I don't need saving by CP Plus or any of their brethren. It's been a few weeks since this last letter. Perhaps they have given up on me as a 'lost soul'?.

I hope they can forgive me. I've not responded to any of their letters. Perhaps they are 'saving' easier souls than mine?? I've taken a vow of silence with regard to CP Plus as a mark of my respect for them.

So I'd just like to say a big thankyou to CP Plus for your concern. I appreciate you spending your time and money in getting my details from the DVLA, printing those letters and paying postage. You're a credit to your 'industry'.

I must admit I miss their offers of help.......

  • I know the feeling. I must have upset Parking Eye as they don't write and they don't call. It is so distressing at Christmas.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

    It beggars belief.

I wonder if any of the PPC trolls could put up any justification for why this is possibly a good idea?

    Pathetic. :o

Very good write up from Hardworker. :T

I thought they wanted our assistance, to fund their Christmas party by paying one of their unenforceable invoices

Bah humbug - Don't you all know that you should be giving to the less well off at this festive time. I would like to emphasise the word you & not me.

I think, now that it is snowing again, YOU should be contributing Parking Eye et al so that they can buy scarves and little pink gloves to keep their hands warm when giving the wife another ticket.

Oh my god what a nightmare I just had, giving money to these people.........
Private Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA :D

worry not. 'twas just a dream.

the real nightmare is the waking one being lived by the PPC's, as their 'industry' slowly unravels thanks to sites like this.

may choirs of angels sing them to their sleep (and the dole queue).

Oh! CP Plus, what have you done?
You sent me a letter, but only the one.
I got myself ready to engage in a battle,
But I wait in vain for the letter box rattle.
Had you been forewarned that I wouldn't give in?
Or only just realised they all go in the bin?
'Tis the season to be jolly,
For you to make Trethowans loads of lolly.
So come on CP, play the game,
Send me a begging letter, you know my name.
Just do it for Christmas, as you have been tought,
Please send it from Santa, so I can thrash you in court.

Nice to see a new face joining in the fun. Why not just go and collect another fake PCN? :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I registered, just so I could join in on the fun! I've just gotten my 3rd letter from CP Plus. After spending a little too long in morrisons. Who's ever heard of someone spending a little longer than 2 hours in a big supermarket?! Clearly there are no women at CPP.

I'm guessing this is the last time I will hear from them? I was looking forward to putting my not-quite-finalised-yet skills to practice in court!:rotfl:
