So when i showed it the inspector said it was out of date and then he asked me if i got another one, i just said i probably left it at work.
So he made me fill in a form with my details (i should have gave fake details but i wasnt thinking) and im assuming im going to get something through post, but he said i have 10 days to appeal and can send a photocopy of my up to date pass.
Im no longer using first now because stagecoach is cheaper, if the letter comes through post and i still dont pay it then what happens?
I might just get someone elses pass and photocopy it because im not paying a ridiculous fine of £35 just because i forgot about the 2 days! i even asked if i could pay the normal fare of £1.60 for my journey but wasnt allowed.
Pay up, plain a simple. Don't try and dodge it, you ballsed up, £35 is a small price to pay. you'll never forget to check you have a valid pass again!0 -
............ We use hit squads .....
i have this imagine of a load of men in full ballistic gear swinging through the window pointing guns at some old lady with her shopping
do you really call them hitsqauds? lol
either way pay the fine 2 days late is not really any different to 2 years late - end of the day you got caught so cough up :T
and becuase of people like you as rossy said the companies loose million billions trillions etc and have to put the fares up and then you moan that they are to expensive - but you dont pay them any way0 -

It does sound dramatic doesnt it.
Works like this..
Bus pulls up. Police cover front/rear doors. Driver opens both doors and police/TFL board. Ticket checking commences and if anyone is found withOut a valid pass then it's either
A) on the spot fine
Arrested for fare evasion
Nedless to say when i was a driver, the look on certain peoples faces when you pulled into the stop were some what "i've soiled my pant's"If Adam and Eve were created first

they should allow them to put a bullet in the head of the offending person
people would soon stop doing it this country needs some tough policing - its too hard now for the police to arrest anyone without a complaint being made against them for hurting them.0 -

I agree
we have the "softest" policing in the UK
They can't arrest without being accused of racism
they can't stop people for offences as it's allegedly contravening their human rights
They can't "kettle" yobby students to protect buildings/other members of the public.
They get constant flack and i feel for them. without them this country would be chaotic. I agree that not all police personel are law abiding them selves but out of the thousands of officers in the UK i respect them for what they do. I wouldn't do it for the money they earn that's for sureIf Adam and Eve were created first

i dont see the problem with the police i could never do it
i have sat in town and watched the police trying to arrest a loon that had jumped through a window to then proceed and attack a man inside. im not sure what started it but to cleanly jump trhough a window then your obviously a tad weird.
7 police man had to get him on the floor and you could see they were being carefull not to hurt him. they even took his trainer of and placed it on the floor so he didnt bang his head ( i dont think he would have felt it)
i think they should have just battoned him and dragged him across the floor with the odd stamping on the way (he was quite happy to set about the man in the kebab shop who was deeply upset about the loss of his kebab and chips all over the floor)0 -

If the police were still allowed to kick the crap out of the low life scum, society would be better and the lefties could go back to complaining about the price of lentils.0 -
if i had just attacked someone i wouldnt expect the police to handle me with care
i also would have the balls to stand in court and say that i am unhappy that the police hurt my arm after i jumped through a window and attacked someone0
