B & Q Didn't deliver

Still sitting here fuming. Was expecting delivery from B & Q (direct from warehouse, not from local store) yesterday. Told when ordering that couldn't give time of day, just a date.
Anyway, up and ready at 8am. At 4pm phoned helpline to ask if delivery van was still out. Told deliveries went on until 8pm. At 7.45pm phoned again and told that delivery was scheduled for that day, no problems had been notified, so van must be running late, keep waiting. Had now stayed in all Friday and Friday evening, nothing arrived.
Phoned up this morning. Told that delivery was being made by Night Freight but they didn't work weekends, so B & Q couldn't contact them until Monday. Also told that Night Freight only deliver up till 5.30pm, so info given on phone yesterday was wrong and could have gone out after 5.30pm.
Joiner friend and husband had arranged to fit units this weekend, so had to cancel this. Am now waiting until Monday morning to phone again and get them to chase up my goods.

took 5 deliveries from B & Q before my son's kitchen was complete, the saga started in June and went on until October.
Moral of this is don't take your kitchen apart or arrange fitters until you actually have your B & Q kitchen in your house.Oh and check online that they have used the right codes as my son waited 4 months for a 'special order' that could never ever be delivered as it wasn't the right code.
a man with a van might be quicker.0 -
Some of you might find it easier to buy the carcass packs in store, just leaving the doors to be delivered. This way, the fitter can put them together and anchor them to the wall.
You can then either get the fitter back when the doors arrive or put them on yourself.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
LATEST UPDATE
Order arrived today, or, rather, part of it did. Cupboards came, but doors didn't. Checked with Nightfreight and what they delivered is total of consignment, nothing else to come.
Phoned B & Q again, had no idea why doors hadn't come. Would place another order with supplier for them with earliest possible date of 17 November.
Went into store to complain further. Store checked all nearby stores, but none held doors required. Spoke to delivery HO, but got no further than I did.
Had call from delivery HO more apologies, but earliest date still 17 November. Seems doors are out of stock, but this hadn't shown up on their system when order was sent out. Will now have to sit in kitchen with cupboard doors missing for 3 weeks, still would have been worse if doors had come without cupboards.0 -

Only three weeks? We're five weeks without ours :rotfl: But we did choose to buy the carcasses instore and wait for the doors. Looking at your delivery date, I would guess that there is a shortage throughout all B&Q (our delivery date is 14 November).still would have been worse if doors had come without cupboards.
NnnnnooooooooooooYou can fill the cupboards anyway - full cupboards don't get in the way of fitting doors

I take it your ordered in store?
If so, get in there ask to speak to the manager of the department you ordered for and no-on else as you sre very unhappy. Take in a list of all your grievances for their information or too crib from. Tell then you took a whole day off work, have lost pay and your are thouroughly dis-satsified with the service you have had and a) what are they going to do about your missing items and b) what compensation are they going to offer you.
I had this problem and had to go to other stores to get the items I needed for the kitchen. In the end I got about £100 compensation for the hassle there and then refunded to my card. If you want more you have to take it HO in writing and then its a long drawn out process.
Good luck and don't take any crap off them.Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.
