Nokia 3510i - 12 months free & £17 profit

Dialaphone are offering the Nokia 3510i on Vodafone with 1000 free off peak minutes and 50 texts per month.

This usually costs £17.50 per month but comes with 12 MONTHS FREE LINE RENTAL (worth £210). Plus if you buy online you get £10 extra cash and a free alarm clock.

If you sign up to this offer through linemypocket.co.uk you get £7 cashback (they seem to offer more cashback than the other cashback sites for mobiles) Details here:

** Any referral links must only come from the referrals board - Edited by Abuse Controller **

If you do not want to bother with the £7 cashback you can go stright to the offer here:

and look under "web specials"

A point to note is that the free line rental is by redemtion. You have to remember to send off your bills to claim the money back. Dial-a-phone are one of the biggest mail order companies so you won't have any trouble with them going out of business, but they are strict on when you send the bills back.

  • A more important point to note is that you don't get any cashback (they just credit your voda account), and you don't get the free 12 months line rental during the first 12 months.

The final credit is paid after you have had the contract running 12 months. So you have to pay them at least £70. (More if they delay paying in the credit until payment for month 13 is taken)

This offer is not as good as GimmeGimme is making it sound.

Not quite true smartasss. Yes its true that you have to pay and get the money back - thats how all cashback offers work. The £70 you have to pay all comes back to you!

Once the credit has been applied to your airtime account you can cancel the contract - if your airtime account is in credit Vodafone have to send you the money within 28 days of cancellation. They do not get to get to keep your money just cos you have overpaid the bill. My partner did this with an 02 offer last year. They do not advertise this becuase they want you to continue paying.
  • This is not the case!

They only credit your "airtime account", NOT your bank account!

(Also they only credit your account with the pre-vat amount) At what point do you "cancel your contract" - you won't know the credit is there until after month 13 has started would you?

You refer to an o2 deal your partner did last year, yet your ad is for a voda deal!

    This is interesting, GimmeGimme.

You post here about your partner getting cashback just last year, yet in another thread on this board you have today posted regarding dialaphone's so called cashback to someone else who has pointed out you don't get any cash:

"Are you 100% sure on this. I had a phone from dialaphone 18 months ago which I think stated that but I got the money into my bank account."

    (See http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=29095)

You don't seem quite so sure??
  • Ok to clear it up.

I phoned dialaphone today and they say that they offer both payment to the airtime account and to a bank account - it depends on the offer. For the offer discussed it is to your AIRTIME ACCOUNT - i.e. a credit to your bill.

However once the credit has been placed into your airtime account you can cancel the contract. 02 had to pay up the credit in my partners accounbt within 28 days - as i assume that they would not do this unless forced to I expect it is the law, but you should the small terms of your network contract to be sure.

As for the amount including or excluding VAT you r going off on a complete tangent. The bill is £17.50 per month (including VAT) or £210 for the year. You get £210 cashback - This is the total including VAT.

What have you got against Dialaphone? had a bad experience? if so please share...
  • The total cashback (by airtime redemption!) is £210 including VAT.

They only credit your airtime account with the pre VAT amount. As you will be aware, your bill shows the pre VAT amount due for each month's rental, and VAT is then added.

You will only get £59.57 credited each instalment (not £70).

You again refer to your partner's deal - but that was with o2, and as already pointed out, your ad is for a voda deal.
