New York Hotel...help

hi
I have just got back from New York - stayed at Club QUarters Midtown - one of the few hotels to do single rooms. They have availability for your dates.
The location is really good, and I didnt feel unsafe (even wallking back from Time Square on my own at middnigt - 2 blocks away). 5th Av is 1/2 block away, Rockafella about 6 blocks.
It is on expedia £85 for the mon and tuesday, £112 for the Wed. (plus tax). Shop around as you may get a better price elsewhere (though you can get cashback with quidco if you have a quidco account).
Another hotel with single rooms is the Washington Jefferson - but on location I would go for Club Quarters plus it is 3.5 stars versus Washington Jefferson which is 2.5.0 -
Try this place it has themed rooms. I stayed in the Esther Williams one and my friends stayed in the Cher room. They are not big rooms but NY hotels are sooooooo expensive it offers GVFM . it is in CHelsea which is walking distance to times square, long walking distance ( but shops and sites all the way) to the bottom of manhatten where the ferries for statue of Liberty. I have stayed in Chelsea twice and felt very safe.

I have been to NY three times and so far havent managed to find a cheaper hotel of same standard than comfort inn manhattan. Subway station at end of street, macys and empire state just round corner and friendly clean hotel. No such thing as a cheap hotel in NY though unfortunately. Try comfort inn website , think its https://www.comfortinn.com. One tip though if your'e getting a taxi from airport dont get anything other than yellow cab!!0

When I went to NYC, I stayed in the Milford Plaza - Nice hotel, about a minute's walk from Times Square and not too pricey either - (Don't know about thanksgiving though)0

We stayed in the New Yorker which is very near Macys, Empire State Building,Madison Square Gds and Penn Station, brilliant rooms overlooking the City - it was reasonable. Even if you dont stay there you must try their diner - The Tick Tock Diner which does the most fantastic breakfasts!!0
